As Close as It Gets.
I love this picture. It’s on my desktop at work. This is his Senior Picture.
I like the way his cheeks and ears are red. Anyone who knew him knows that this would happen when he’d been laughing. I was in the room with him as he took his pictures. We were being silly, joking… talking about how “GQ” he looked.
If you look closely you can see that he’d been laughing so hard his eyes were watering. We would get each other laughing SO HARD that we couldn’t look at each other without starting all over.
I miss laughing that hard with him. I know I will laugh again, and I have… But I will always miss watching him swipe the tears away with the back of his hand when we’ve gone too far… laughed too long… too hard… and can’t stop.
This picture will be as close as I will ever get.
