Dear Witness
Dear Witness,
I don’t know who you are. Nor do you know me. However, if you’ve been reading any of what I’ve written here, I hope you know enough to see that I am sincere.
I don’t know what you’ve seen or heard or how you know the person that killed my son. So I’m going to talk to you from what I do know.
I know today is New Year’s Eve. If the killer was out between 12:30 and 2 am during the summer of 2013, it’s a safe bet they will be partying tonight. Maybe they will be partying with your family.
Do you want someone that murdered a man holding your child or your grand baby? Especially when they have been drinking?
Do you want them in your home? Where tempers can flare in the dark of night… You know how New Year’s Eve can turn on a dime.
If you saw what happened that night and are too frightened to come forward, do you want this person to go to a bar tonight and follow someone home? Maybe tonight will be another botched robbery ending in murder. Do you want that on your conscience?
Maybe you are a friend the killer told about the killing. Do you think they really trust you? In the long run, they will become paranoid… they always do. Tonight while you are sharing a bottle would be prime time. The alcohol, the music, the atmosphere. Yup, prime time for paranoia.
Or, you could do the right thing. In any of these scenarios you could make my family’s 2015 a Happy New Year. Call 816-474-TIPS
