Easter Morning
Easter Bunny photos.
Dying eggs at the kitchen table.
Baskets filled to the brim with treats and toys.
Little boys circled on the living room floor trading candy.
Biscuits and gravy for breakfast.
A big family meal hosted at our house.
Egg hunts in our back yard.
Cousins playing and giggling in our home.
Time moves on.
Children grow up.
The traditions were going to change,
I know this.
But its so much harder to deal with
Knowing Corey was yanked from us.
Happy Easter, Corey.
I can’t imagine how beautiful
Easter in Heaven would be.
I wouldn’t take that from you,
But I wish you were here
With me.
