That New Band…
I missed you yesterday.
I mean we didn’t do anything but hang around the house, but it was just not the same without you. The annual lengthening of the kitchen table… you playing music on your laptop as I prepared dinner.
I still giggle when I think of the time you brought your music in for me to hear this ‘awesome new band’ you discovered. When I asked what band, you responded with ‘AC/DC!’
I laughed so hard!
When I finally regained my composure, I said, ‘I was dancing to them when I met your dad!’
The look on your face was priceless!
Then when you played what you wanted to share, and I knew the words to sing with you, you had the biggest smile.
We danced around the kitchen while I cooked.
You were always happiest when you were singing.
I miss you still today.
