Relentless

So, today is the day. The one we’ve been building up to since April. The showing of “Fighting for Corey” on Relentless (Oxygen Channel- 7:00pm CST).
For all of you “Bob fans” out there (and I know there are millions and millions…) I’ve been told Bob does not speak on this show. For those of you in the media that know Bob, this is no surprise. However, you do get to see my knight in shining armour a few times throughout the telling of our tale.
I need to thank my dear friend Monique Willis (Momma on a Mission) for suggesting NBC contact me. I have great respect for you, sis… I take it as a true honor! Thank you.
For those of my friends that are watching tonight, I feel it is my responsibility to tell you there will be times you will feel uncomfortable, angry, or even hurt. They do show Corey in his hospital bed, and they show his clothing from the time of the attack. This was shocking to me the first few times I saw it, and it may also be shocking to some of you.
If you feel that this portion of the show will be triggering to you, I will not be hurt by your decision not to watch.
We are inviting others to watch, because it is our intention to encourage others to fight for their loved ones!
We want others to watch, because I want the face of John Dakota Seger etched into the mind of every person in the United States. I want to make sure that he will have no refuge once he has been released… no matter how long it’s been.
I know this seems harsh, but if my son cannot comfortably live his life out, than neither should his attacker.
I’m anxious. I won’t lie. This will be difficult for many of us to watch.
But it is our story.
It needs to be told.
If you decide to watch us, hashtag us at #fightingforCorey. Just to show your support. Maybe we can help others avoid our circumstances.
Thank you for your continued support!!
