How Does Corey’s Network, Inc. Use Their Funds
– Michelle R. Metje, President and Co-Founder of CNI
Over the last year, we’ve held fundraisers as well as used our own resources to fund funeral expenses. We also tap into our vast network of media contacts, church staff, law enforcement when assisting those who’ve lost a loved one to homicide.
We’ve done extensive research of crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe, etc. and found “YouCaring.com”. YouCaring.com is a crowdfunding program that doesn’t take ANY of the donations from the victim. They do ask for a donation for their program, but the donor can opt out of that if they choose. That combined with our non-profit status with PayPal gets our clients the most amount of funds of any crowdfunding possible.
We are currently working with Chuck E. Cheese’s to host a fundraiser during every quarter of 2017 to provide a fund for any murder victims under the age of 12 years.
It’s important to note that we do not have any paid employees. Not one dime of what you donate to Corey’s Network, Inc. is used to pay employee salaries. Everything we do is voluntary.
On top of our fundraising activities, we connect families to counseling, help them navigate the media, and understand the investigation.
Most importantly, we hold someone’s hand at the worst moment of their life and tell them they are not alone.
If you know someone that is in need of our services, please let them know we are here.
