The seminar is meant to provide a better understanding of the individuals and organizations you might encounter after a homicide. We hope to share helpful information so you can feel more in control.
It consists of five sessions, each focused on a specific topic. Discussions in each session will also include practical steps for moving forward.
Session 1 – G is getting to know the services in the Metro KC area.
As our guests, we have representatives from a group to explain their programs.
Session 2 – R is for Reporters
Media representatives will be our guests.
Session 3 – I is for Investigation
Our guests will be detectives, advocates, and law enforcement representatives.
Session – E is for Enforcement
Prosecutors, advocates, and probation/parole representatives will be our guests.
Session – F is for Forward or Moving Forward
We will discuss what changes you can make to move forward.
Participation is voluntary, and you are welcome to join the sessions that pique your interest.
All sessions are available on Zoom for those who cannot attend in person.
